The 2025 Miles for Moms event was our best year yet! A big thank you to all our runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, donors, cheerleaders. We could not have done it without you.

We had participants from multiple countries collectively covering over 400 miles with their communities. From 5Ks around the block to personal best 50Ks on the trails, every mile mattered.

And best of all…

🎀 Together we raised $7,500 for Kelley, and we are so grateful! 🎀

Because of you, we were able to lessen the financial burden of breast cancer for someone in our community — and that’s exactly why Miles for Moms exists.

Our Mission in Action

Miles for Moms is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit dedicated to:

  • Providing financial support to individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment

  • Raising awareness about the disease and the financial burden it creates

  • Encouraging early detection through routine screenings

  • Building community through movement

In 2025, our mission was able to come alive in powerful ways all run by volunteers.

Meet Our 2025 Beneficiary: Kelley

This year, we had the honor of supporting Kelley from Bedford, MA.

Kelley is fighting stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. She’s also an avid runner and hopes to become a mom one day. Her strength and resilience inspired our entire community.

Thanks to your support, we were able to provide Kelley with a $7,500 lump-sum donation to help offset treatment-related expenses and ease financial stress during treatment.

This is why we run. You can always donate to Miles for Moms to help make a difference.

2025 By the Numbers

💰 $12,000 Raised Overall
Up from $9,000 in 2024 — a 33% year-over-year increase.

🎗 $7,500 Donated to Our Beneficiary
A 25% increase in direct giving compared to last year.

🏃 76 Total Participants

  • 56 in person (up 19 from 2024 — over 50% growth!)

  • 20 virtual

While virtual participation dipped (a trend we’re seeing everywhere), in-person energy and engagement were stronger than ever to complete over 400 miles together.

Growing the Miles for Moms Community

One of our biggest wins this year was expanding our community beyond race day.

New in 2025, we introduced five brand-new social runs, engaging 40 participants throughout the year. These runs created connection, accountability, and momentum. We were able to partner with incredible organizations like:

These collaborations helped expand our reach and connect us with even more strong moms, women and families.

In addition, we were able to receive two grants, $1,000 each, from these generous organizations:

A big thank you to our sponsors for partnering with us!

  • Ragged Cuts - Custom medals donation for a third year in a row

  • Joint Dynamics - Donating PT vouchers for a select number of HK participants

  • The Method - Highly recommended Performance and PT in Boston offering discount evaluations

  • NM Fitness & Aquatics - Donating raffle prizes for non-Boston participants

  • Arc'teryx - Donating backpacks for in-person participant raffle

  • The Pink Exchange - Joining us at the main event to collect gently used breast cancer treatment-related goods for redistribution

As We Relive the Excitement…

We invite you to:

We are so appreciative of this community. We had such a blast — and we’re already dreaming about next year and can’t wait to see you there.

What We Learned in 2025

Consistency builds community.
The success of our social runs showed us that people want connection year-round, not just on race day. In 2026, we’ll introduce a more structured social run schedule to keep building momentum.

We want to help more people.
Supporting Kelley in a meaningful way was powerful — and it fuels our drive to expand our impact even further. We want to expand into breast cancer care packages in MA to spread more awareness and positivity.

Until then — thank you for running, walking, donating, sharing, cheering, and believing in this mission. We are so grateful for you.

Let’s keep running — one mile at a time and make sure you join us next year. 💗
